Scenery - beautiful. Accommodations - comfortable. Entertainment - well, when one includes the Olympics, reading, going to a great play in Jackson, an outstanding symphony concert, and a whitewater rafting trip…Nothing to complain about there. I was shopping for a tuner/metronome today. ( Wound up buying one that I liked, too.) While I was there I bumped into a friend from school. Not a close friend, but an acquaintance. I'd say I knew her better that she knew me because I graded papers last year for a professor whose class she took. Life is fraught less for the thoughtless - painless for the brainless. Sure. Right. Experience is the best teacher, but its lessons are preferably learned by observing somone else's experience. Days are filled with advice received from the well intentioned, lessons are learned by others around, and then there are Things That Happen To Me. INTRO: Not having erasers or ink splotches on the journal page is useful. Nor do I have to keep my eyes open when I'm at work, or so I think. Whether that is possible will remain to be seen. That, or the paw of my cat on the keyboard will be my excuse for any spelling errors.
